4/01/2010

Due to the expected weather for today tomorrow and over the weekend the recommendation for today involves an activity with a stop for lunch/dinner.

The first part of our journey takes us into Brooklyn, New York. Take a subway or cab into Brooklyn and walk the Brooklyn Heights Promenade

The second part of our journey takes us to a pizzeria.
After walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade take a break and enjoy a pizza from Grimaldi's pizzeria located in Brooklyn.

Here is its location on a map

Here is their website: http://www.grimaldis.com/
And here is their wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grimaldi%27s_Pizzeria

"The pizza that made the Brooklyn Bridge famous" this pizzeria is located under the Brooklyn Bridge. They do not sell slices, only full pizzas and every pizza is used making a coal-fired brick oven. Recently rated number one pizza in NYC by Zagat Survey and a top 10 restaurant by "Lets do New York City" if you wish to go be ready to wait in line. There are often long lines waiting for tables here. There are other locations but if you're going to go, do it right and go to the most famous location.
